OUR STORY

Kasia was founded in 2021 with a simple vision:
to bring the flavors, cultures, and communities of Asia together in one place.

The name Kasia comes from Korea and Asia, reflecting the heart of our market. While our roots are Korean, our mission has always been bigger. We want to celebrate the incredible diversity of Asian cultures and foods.

At the center of our logo is the Korean word for market, Jangteo (장터). Traditionally, a jangteo was more than just a place to buy food. It was a place where people gathered, shared stories, and connected with their community. Surrounding the center are several of the world’s most widely spoken languages spelling out “Kasia Market.” These languages represent the many cultures and traditions that shape the Asian food experience.

People often ask us, “Why do you carry halal products?
Is there really that large of a Muslim community?”

Our answer is simple. We would not be Kasia without it.

Asia is home to many cultures, religions, and traditions, and we believe our market should reflect that diversity. From Korean and Japanese ingredients to Southeast Asian specialties and halal products, we want everyone to be able to find something familiar.

More than anything, Kasia is built on one simple idea: to love our neighbors.

Our logo represents that vision. It is a place where languages, cultures, and communities come together. A place where food connects people and where everyone is welcome.

That is Kasia Market.
